Our student-operated, fully licensed, Bistro is open to the public during class times most days and offers a wide range of items from snack foods and Italian sodas to salads, soups and sandwiches as well as on-site catering.
As a student, you will spend spend at least half of your time performing Bistro operations - both learning and refining your skills in an authentic work-site as you serve the public.
Here, you will gain valuable real-world work experience, skills and credentials as you learn to apply the skills you explored in the Food Theory Classroom.
Over the course of two years, you will rotate through several job areas, both in the "front" and "back" of the house, like: Cashier, Saucier, Patissier, Bistro Cook, Expediter, Barista & Bakery Attendant, Garde Manger, Steward, Purchasing Agent, Entremetier, Bistro Leader, and Kitchen Leader.
